Problem Note 37045: SAS® Metadata server log might grow with multiple Error messages: ERROR: No free buffers are available.

The SAS® Metadata Server log might grow several megabytes per second and contain the following error message when it runs out of disk space.
2009-08-18T03:40:53,647 ERROR [00000007] :SYSTEM@AST52 - 20090818:03.40.52.96: 00000003:ERROR: No free buffers are available. Filename = ...ut08A8000002.utl.
Running out of disk space on the file system used for utility files will cause the "No free buffers are available" error message to continually be written to the SAS Metadata Server log. The server will continue to append errors to the log file after the space has been freed up.
The SAS Metadata Server uses the location specified by the UTILLOC system option for its utility files. By default UTILLOC is configured to the WORK location. Care should be taken to prevent out of disk space conditions on the SAS Metadata Server machine since this could result in damaged repository files.
Note: This issue can also occur on other servers, such as the SAS® OLAP Server or SAS® Stored Process Server.
